Caroline the independent distribution company has recently joined an agreement to distribute the upcoming releases of Rough Trade Records in the USA. The famous UK label has been a host to many stars of Britiain including, Jarvis Cocker, British Sea Power, The Libertines and newer indie rockers, BrakesBrakesBrakes. Unafraid of international music, Rough Trade has also paved the way for the Strokes, Arcade Fire and The Butthole Surfers in the past. Rough Trade has always been known as a diverse and exciting label.

Caroline will be distributing the Rough Trade releases via an agreement with World’s Fair Label Group who has recently set up numerous distro deals including Bella Union, BBE and even pushing Simply Red’s new CD.

Michael Bull, label relations president for Caroline said, “Rough Trade is obviously one of the legendary names in the history of independent music. Their track record of finding and developing incredible artists speaks for itself, and their future looks just as bright,” he also noted that the new deal with Caroline will mean bigger and better things for the UK label as Caroline is well known for getting the upcoming indy artists into the American stores.

Caroline will be handling both physical and digital distribution of Rough Trade’s artists. Here’s to a great new relationship enabling UK artists to break through to the USA mainstream!
